I checked this book out at the MCAD library and flipped through some amazing sketches. This book reminds me of how much sketching can be apart of the art world

Illustrator Experiments

I'm beginning for a couple of weeks to experiment with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop applications more in depth. Actually, just to have more fun. What I did was made stroke brushes in Photoshop and converted the the image as a jpg file, place in illustrator and then made the brush into a vector brush and began painting in illustrator. It's really fun, and I hope to get out of this. Learn a few tips.
It's amazing that CS5 will be coming out soon.

Prairie Illustration sketches

These are sketches from my final 2D final. I've been wanting to get into nature illustration, and I thought doing a prairie them would come together. I've been doing prairie studies here and there throughout my education career.

Lately I've been trying out watercolors, but for now I think watercolor medium is more like a hobby paint to play with, rather than something I would like to make professionally.

Getting there
I haven't done much today project wise, but I wanted to share you a site my instructor gave us in class.
http://www.crowdspring.com/
It's basically you can pick your projects and well, complete them and submit. And if you win, you get money. But I'm doing it mostly because I need intern hours and I think it's a fun way to do projects that the instructors haven't given out to everybody.
There are tons of contests for design and such, but I like a few...a friend gave me this one.

Today, creative wise was pretty much a waste. I didn't have any creative feelings today or yesterday. I would like to draw, and make designs and practice my figure drawling. But I dunno, just seems like today wasn't the day to do it. But maybe tomorrow :)
Tomorrow I have no classes, but I come in and do some work. Mostly computer usage, since I don't have the equipment.
I'm currently trying to do 5 crowdspring designs, and something for the ARL of Iowa.
I would like to actually find more clients so we'll see.
But for now, I have to find some props for a class on Tuesday.

My new sketch blog
For the while I didn't have the inclincation that I had an art style..I just sorta did my own thing and hoped it was well.
But recently I was looking thru people's art and found that they had a certian style they owned and I am wanting more than anything to find my style and hopefully get something going along that line.
It's midnight, and I apologize if there is any grammer mistakes. I'm not used to typing or thinking at this time but I make it thru.
I don't have anything sketched so far, but hopefully sometime I can scan some stuff in and post them on this blog. I dunno, I think it'll be good to see what I'm doing and write about it. And maybe I'll learn about myself thru this blog :). But for now, I'm going to just quit here and surf the web.
